Job description

PALCO Industrial Marking and Labeling, Inc, a growing and expanding label manufacturer, is seeking to fill an Apprentice – Flexographic Press Operator position in our label production department. This position is perfect for a mechanically inclined individual looking to learn a trade.

Position Description:
The position consists of training to operate a flexographic printing press. Will learn to safely set-up, operate and clean the flexographic press in a productive manner while following Quality Control Specifications. Will learn to detect defects by use of a strobe light, maintain ink management, and mount plates successfully. Other responsibilities will include ensuring area is clean and well maintained.

Position Duties

Will learn all aspects of printing, inspection, and press operation duties
Set up Flexographic Press to Job Specifications
Effectively Monitor Press and Printed Material for Consistency
Follow Quality Control Guidelines from Start to Finish
Perform Appropriate Duties as Assigned by Management
Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Space
Follow all Established Safety Rules and Regulations

Position Requirements

NO experience necessary
Must have good math skills
Must be mechanically inclined
Lift up to 75 pounds.
Pre-employment Drug Screen, Background Check, and Physical Required.

Quarterly performance evaluations with potential of pay increase for the first year. Annual performance evaluations with increases after the first year.

Starting at $20.00 an hour
